Stayed on the SS Rotterdam and ate at the Lido restaurant the first night, and can't praise the food highly enough!

I'm going to hijack this space to promote the Rotterdam Marathon, since that's why I was there. I've run 20 marathons now and this is one of the very best. The city comes ALIVE out on the streets and the crowds are SO supportive of runners, constantly encouraging individual runners by name (printed on bibs) throughout the entire race. Thank you Rotterdam for such a great experience! And for any marathon runners who read this, you really need to run this race and visit this city!

Rotterdam is a good base to stay to visit the south west side of Netherlands. Very very windy city tho... the winds could move my travel stroller even w my baby in it, lol.
We completed Rotterdam in a day, with a visit to the maritime museum. Markthall is pretty, but thats about it. We enjoyed Denhague a lot.

It is a very interesting city from an architectural point of view. Old is mixed with new and the new buildings are mostly very special.

Overall the city of Rotterdam, is very easy to get around as there is a great transport network there. Unless you are traveling very late at night or very early in the morning the frequency of the buses, metro and trams is very good. There are lots of places to eat and drink. If you just want to sample a few places then I would recommend going on a food and drink tour (There are lots of different tours you can do in Rotterdam) One of the best ways to see Rotterdam city center is by bike. If you are looking to see the city as a whole then I would recommend the metro. Rotterdam has lots to offer. This includes various bike and walking tours, markets, museum's, Zoo's and Architecture

I chose Rotterdam as a good base to see several towns in the region. But in hindsight, I would not do this again and would not recommend it. It's not a destination city. Yes, some cool architecture, but also tons of ugly buildings and generic shopping. If I had it to do over again, I would have booked those 6 nights in Leiden, which we loved!
Great location, easily walkable to the major sites of Rotterdam. When we were feeling cold (and wet) afterwards, there's a tram stop minutes away. I'd always wanted to stay in a capsule hotel, and this was an excellent place to try it out! Traveling in a couple, I'm not sure I'd have wanted to spend more than one or two nights there though. Would probably feel a bit cramped after a while. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the free lockers were convenient as we arrived in Rotterdam before the check-in time.
This hotel was lovely. We actually stayed here for just one night due to a cancelled flight home - however, it made what could have been a stressful situation really pleasant. The room was really nice - spacious, and super comfy bed. The ensuite was also really clean, modern, with a nice big and strong shower. It is a really convenient, short walk from Rotterdam Central station, and a good location for exploring the city. Would definitely stay here, and visit Rotterdam again.
Very conveniently located hotel in central Rotterdam, about 15 mins walk from the central train station. Shops, cafes, restaurants, public transport within short walk's reach. The rooms are clean and spacious with equally spacious bathrooms, the beds were very comfortable, but the hotel is old, showing it's age. However, there was a very well equipped gym. Breakfast was fabulous; spoilt for choice. Staff very very friendly and helpful, particularly breakfast room staff.
Was perfect for a trip away to Rotterdam. Very close to town centre, only 10 minutes by bike. There's a water taxi terminal beside the hotel which drops you in the city centre. The hotel was hassle free, quick check-in and there is a supermarket and restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel is situated on the port which is very active with various boats, we were fortunate to get a room over looking the port.
We stayed here a week, enough time to have a clear opinion about this place. The hotel is across the street from the famous Rotterdammer building, 2 minutes from the metro station and 5 from the tram station. The place is very nice, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is very comfy. Breakfast was great and during the evening there is a food hale connected with the hotel, that offers a cultural mix of foods.
First of all, I want to thanks from Hilton. It was my first time I was in Hilton Rotterdam. I stayed in most of Hilton hotels on the world but Rotterdam was very different for me because of the staff. I want to special thanks from MR. Paulo he made my day after 14 hours flight. After this If I stay in Netherland close city of Rotterdam for sure I will prefer Rotterdam Hilton.
Great hotel, well located in the city center of Rotterdam. Plenty of rental bikes nearby. The breakfast is not directly in the hotel but in a partner café, it was huge and delicious! Efficient soundproofing of the rooms, there was a concert in front of the hotel and we heard absolutely nothing from our room.
I just love the concept of this hotel - very efficient and well thought through. Very clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely come back to stay in this hotel while in Rotterdam - the location is great!
It is a reasonably priced hotel located at the heart of Rotterdam. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast served (included in the price) is quite good. The staffs at the reception are friendly. We noticed customers were helped in Dutch, English, French and German language.
ART Hotel Rotterdam is a comfortable, clean, central place to stay and we would stay again. The staff were especially lovely with our 2 year old daughter when we went to the Mio Papa restaurant for meals, giving her toys to play with and entertaining her in between serving other customers.
The hotel is in a good position, very near to the central station and from it is possible to walk to the city centrum in about 15 minutes. The price is high for the offer, but lower compared to the average in the Netherlands. The breakfast was acceptable.
The room was insanely good, we love it soo much
The breakfast was a big dream for us, it was realllllly good, and delicous
The view was top top top, rotterdam is gorgeous, and sooooo nice
if we come back, 110% we gonna choose that hotel again
it’s a nice little hotel, by the Rotterdam airport. the rooms are ad too small - taking the budget atoo seriously i😃! but the beds and bathrooms are alll very good, perfect as they’re supposed to be . good simple and easy for a quick stay.
Very convenient location, about 5 mins walk from Centraal station and also very near and walkable to the Centrum shopping areas, eateries, fast food, supermarket, etc. A very clean hotel with an awesome team of friendly staff. Thumbs up.
Perfect location especially if you travel a lot with the train during your stay. Because of the location I could take later trains back to Rotterdam. The staff was helpful most of the times. The hotel has a noce ambiance.
Clean, spacious room with a nice view of the harbor from our window. The hotel is located at the heart of Rotterdam. The Swan Bridge and the Maritime District are within walking distance from the hotel.
Not far from city center, it's near public transportation. You can even walk from Rotterdam Central around 20 min. The room is quite spacious, one of the nicest hotel that we stayed.
The hotel is 1 min from one of the main train stations and on the heart of Rotterdam city, which allows you to walk around easily and visit this incredibly place.
